We help young adults with diverse abilities move toward bright futures.

The Next Move Program, a 501 (c)(3) organization, partners with businesses to create guided internship and externship experiences for young adults with disabilities. Through education and job training, we empower them to achieve their goals and live their dreams.

Educate

At the Next Move Program, we teach our students work readiness skills that not only prepare them for employment, but help them maintain it. We teach them social skills that help them build confidence and build relationships. And we prepare our students for a life of greater independence through education in essential life skills. We build the foundation they need to succeed—then watch them do just that.

Train

Through partnerships with area businesses and opportunities within our own Tablespoons Bakery program, we provide guided job training and transferable work experiences for our students, helping them realize their potential and achieve their employment goals. Because all people, of all abilities, deserve the opportunity to work.

Empower

In everything we do with our students we aim to uplift, inspire and empower. To teach them their worth and help them realize their value. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the job, or through programs like our Capable portrait exhibition, we elevate the beauty of diversity and celebrate inclusion—building connection and community along the way.

“My student gained self-esteem, self-respect, responsibility, knowledge, respect, fun, friends, and a sense of belonging.”

— Kerry Anne Nimmons, parent of a Next Move graduate
